Chocoholics of Cambridge will be pleased to learn of the opening of Hill St, a gorgeous new chocolatier in the city centre. Selling a range of beautiful artisan chocolates, the venture is the brainchild of Essex-born brothers Chris and Greg, who have the motto ‘simple is best’ when it comes to their rich, elegant confections. Among the unique flavours on offer are confit fruits blanketed in luxury chocolate, chocolate medallions embellished with Hill St’s special blend muesli, plus irresistible extras like home-made marshmallows and praline spread. Beginning as a market stall before graduating to a bricks-and-mortar shop on Hill Street in Saffron Walden in late 2016, the brand has won endorsements from the likes of Fortnum & Mason, which buys in Hill St chocolate to sell in its London store.
Last month, the brothers entered a new chapter of their story with the opening of a Cambridge branch at 5 All Saint’s Passage. Open Tues-Sat, from 10am to 4.30pm, visitors can expect delicious chocolatey treats in a sleek and stylish setting.
