There’s no doubt 2014 was an incredible year for Sam Smith. At just 22, he has turned out a multi-platinum selling album, In The Lonely Hour, which debuted at No.1 in the UK charts and No.2 on the US Billboard Top 200, and included the huge hits Money On My Mind and Stay With Me. So far the album has sold over 5 million copies around the world, making him the only artist in the world in 2014 to sell 1 million albums in both the UK and US.
Sam’s huge commercial success has also been reflected on the red carpet, crowning his breakthrough into music’s top ranks earlier this year by picking up four Grammy Awards and two Brit Awards.
Forest Live offers music lovers a chance to hear some of the top live acts of today in a completely unique, outdoor setting. Gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere, and all facilities are provided including catering and a bar. Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands.
A spokesperson for the Forestry Commission commented: “Tickets for Sam Smith’s Forest Live concert in Thetford Forest on Friday 3 July sold out almost immediately when they went on sale today. As one of the hottest acts in the world at the moment there has been an unprecedented demand for tickets.”
Tickets for Paloma Faith and The Script at Thetford Forest are also sold out, however fans can still catch Tom Odell with special guest Rae Morris on Sunday 5 July.
