What might it mean to be a feral child, deprived of human contact, out in the wild or at its edge, or confined and hidden at home? Or a foundling without roots, raised by strangers?
in situ:, Cambridge’s environmental theatre company, aims not to provide answers in its new performance un-named, but give the audience inspiration for their own thoughts, at Wandlebury Country Park on 14, 15, and 16 July.
Performances are outdoors and take inspiration from accounts, some recent, some historic, of feral children, and also foundlings.
In proximity to walls, doors and furniture, performers try out languages of gesture, space and object, abandonment and inclusion. Light on text, strong on gestures, in situ aims to take the audience on an unusual, thought-provoking journey.
Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions) for 8pm performances. They are strictly limited, prior booking advised.
