Introducing Vanderlyle To Go – the restaurant’s innovative answer to the current crisis
Mill Road’s Vanderlyle has announced that it will be offering a takeaway service for customers, and it’s already proving a hit. One of Cambridge’s most popular and in-demand restaurants, Vanderlyle is usually booked up well in advance, with many people prepared to wait months to get a table. So it’s no surprise, then, that the city is taking to their takeaway offerings with no hesitation.
In order to help the community and to feed as many people as possible for as long as possible, Vanderlyle is changing up the food it serve and offering several options to take away. The menu will change regularly depending on what their suppliers can bring, and meals can be ordered for collection for two or for four people for £15 per person. This week’s meals will include freshly baked focaccia with smoked yellow pea hummus, vegetarian lasagne with mixed leaves, and a lime and basil tart.
Vanderlyle will also be acting as a pick-up point for some of Cambridge’s finest food and drink producers, including Afternoon Tease, Calverley’s Brewery, Flourish Produce, Thorne Wines and Wylde Sky Brewing. Afternoon Tease will be putting together cake selection boxes that you can pick up from the restaurant, with several slices of cake, brownies and cheese scones for £15.
