With so many events being cancelled at the moment, you’ll be pleased to know that the much-loved Wild Wood Disco and Wild Wood Rumpus have both announced new dates
When it comes to intimate outdoor festivals, you don’t get much better than The Wild Wood Disco. The highly anticipated event was set to take place in June, but in light of the current crisis has been pushed back three months to a new date: Saturday 12 September.
The Wild Wood team said in a statement on their Facebook page: “our wish is for our wonderful party in the woods to continue for many years to come, which is why we have to reschedule to secure its future. We have had a wonderful response from artists changing schedules so they can still be involved with our small, but special event. Only one Paradise Lost DJ can’t make this date, which we will update you on soon.”
Similarly, The Wild Wood Rumpus – a one-day family-friendly festival – was originally scheduled for June, but has now also been moved back by three months. Now going ahead on Saturday 19 September, the event will feature the original lineup in its entirety. In an announcement on their website, the Wild Wood team said: “we are pleased to announce our line-up for September remains intact, so we can offer the same incredible family day out. We thank you for all your continued support and look forward to seeing you all in September. Stay safe!”
For those who purchased a ticket for the events in June, there’s no need to worry; tickets will be automatically transferred to the new date. You will receive an email from the ticket seller to confirm your availability to attend, but if not, you can always roll over your ticket to next year. Refunds can also be provided, if needed. Keep an eye on the event websites for any updates and more information.
