The ultimate creative challenge is coming to Cambridge for Photo Video 24
Now’s the time to register for Photo Video 24, a 24-hour creative challenge coming to Cambridge next month. Hosted by BRIGHT – makers of Cambridge Edition and leading imaging titles such as Photography News, Pro Moviemaker and Definition – the event offers a chance to hone your skills, get expert feedback, try new kit and win great prizes.
Geared towards photo enthusiasts, videographers and content creators of all kinds, there will be a host of activities and events across the weekend, ranging from workshops with professionals to guided photo walks and expert feedback sessions.
The agenda includes a guide to street photography with Mark Box, aka Humans of Cambridge, who’ll help you to approach any potential subjects with confidence, compose your images and work with natural light – and people! You can also join an exclusive shoot at IWM Duxford with aviation photographer Darren Harbar. Featuring a Hawker Hurricane and re-enactor model, the session will offer tips and technical advice to help you capture this historic aircraft in all its glory. You can also get snapping along the River Cam on a group punt tour, plus join in with a macro workshop at Cambridge University Botanic Garden helmed by esteemed photographer Will Cheung, who’ll give the lowdown on composition and techniques for capturing close-up opportunities.
Alongside the bookable activities, there will be a whole programme of events where you can simply turn up and join in. These include learning more about creating and editing video, receiving expert feedback on your images, software advice and themed photo walks around Cambridge’s historic and picturesque streets.
Some other highlights include: Macro workshop at Cambridge Botanic Garden, the tower climb at St Mary’s Church, punting on the River Cam and a Cambridge Rowing Club Experience & Competition.
Don’t delay, register today and we look forward to seeing you in June!
