In collaboration with grass roots venue The Portland Arms and independent music promoter Green Mind, 20Hz – a new not-for-profit live streaming service – is on a mission to bring live music back to the stages and living rooms of Cambridge.
Offering a full production quality live stream, 20Hz gives audiences from around the country and beyond the chance to interact, chat and donate while they tune in, with all profits from donations going towards supporting the venue and artists involved during these challenging times. The Cambridge-based organisation has been working hard to develop a platform that prioritises reinvesting into talent and creativity, as well as helping to maximise and monetise emerging artists’ expanding portfolios of work.
Steve Pellegrini from The Portland Arms said: “we’re excited to be hosting our first real gig since March and that it is the fabulous Dave McPherson and B-Sydes providing the much-needed entertainment. We look forward to continuing the partnership with everyone involved with more shows to be announced very soon.”
The first in a series of upcoming shows will feature Dave McPherson and B-Sydes, playing before a sold out, intimate audience as well as on live stream, which audiences from all around the world can listen into for free on the 20Hz platform. The live stream can be accessed on Friday 6 November from 7.10pm via the 20Hz website.
