Sol Creative Foundry, an artist-led studio and creative hub in Dry Drayton, is inviting Cambridge businesses to swap the meeting room for a creative studio this winter, as it launches a new programme of creative away days and Christmas team events.
Founded earlier this year, the Foundry is a working studio ten minutes from Cambridge, with resident artists, an art gallery and free parking directly off the A14. It already hosts local business and networking events, and is now opening its
doors to teams of five to 50.
Packages range from a two-hour Creative Taster to a full Creative Away Day. Teams can try kintsugi, pottery, linocut, screen printing, heat press, stained glass, book binding and much more, guided by practising artists. All materials and tuition are included and no experience is needed. Away days include catering by Turtle Dove Cambridge, a social enterprise that supports young women into employment. For the festive season, the Foundry is partnering with Vagus
Mixology on cocktail-making sessions.
“Here, teams make something with their hands, often something they have never tried before, and they take it home. That shared experience does more for a team than another meal out,” said Sneh Zaveri, founder of Sol Creative Foundry.
