Enchanted Cinema returns with popcorn, prosecco and great films

If an evening spent reclining and enjoying the magic of the silver screen while enjoying light installations, live music, chilled prosecco and fresh popcorn sounds good, read on! Enchanted Cinema’s summer programme swings into action this Bank Holiday weekend, with a trio of outdoor film screenings in gorgeous locations.

On 25 May, head over to Burwash Manor in Barton to catch an alfresco screening of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the blackly comic Oscar winner starring Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell (tickets £14).

Next, on Saturday 26 May, it’s over to the beautiful hidden garden at the Gonville Hotel for a trip back to the 80s and to the Catskills resort with Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman, who promptly falls head over heels with the camp’s dance instructor, Johnny Castle. Yep, it’s Dirty Dancing, and you can relive the iconic music and moves of this stone cold classic piece of cinema from 7pm (tickets £14).

Staying at the Gonville Hotel, the weekend’s movie extravaganza will be rounded off with Guillermo del Toro’s spellbinding Shape of Water, also priced at £14, which concludes the screenings on Sunday 27th.
