Eleanor Pritchard blanket design weaving at Fen Ditton gallery

Fen Ditton Gallery is bringing together three generations of artist weavers in a brand-new exhibition – and launching an exclusive limited-edition blanket by Eleanor Pritchard.

Designed as a response to Swiss-born textile designer Marianne Straub’s Textiles Today exhibition at Kettle’s Yard over 40 years ago, Textiles Today? Three Generations of Artist Weavers explores the intersection of art, design and craft through modern and historical woven textile pieces.

Taking a wide angle on the world of weave, exhibitors will include Jo Barker, Jacob Monk, Amber Fry, Eleanor Pritchard, Jun Tomita and Ann Sutton, who was recently awarded a medal for Lifetime Achievement by the Worshipful Company of Weavers. Also present will be works by two artists from that original 1982 exhibition: Mary Restieaux and the late Mary Farmer.
