This weekend, Oxford and Cambridge will clash at an exciting sporting event in a bid to claim the title of regional champions. No, this isn’t the Boat Race, but roller derby, a full-contact game played on quad skates.
With colourful outfits, bone-crunching takeouts and high speeds, roller derby makes a fantastic spectator sport for everyone – and you can guarantee that this is one match that neither team will be giving up without a fight. Come and watch at Kelsey Kerridge sports centre on 22 August, 2pm. Tickets are £6 (£9 door) and under 16s go free.
The Rollerbillies will also be hosting their biggest ever raffle, raising money for their travel fund and for Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre. Prizes include: a GoPro Camera, Breville Blender, Cambridge Satchel Company satchel and more!
