A fun, fast-paced, faithful adaptation of Sense and Sensibility comes to Wimpole Hall on 11 August. The production is by the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company, who offer vibrant, slightly anarchic takes on classic plays.
“We are known for being somewhat silly,” says writer and director Mark Hayward. “But with Sense and Sensibility we stay respectful to the things that people love about the book in the first place. This production provides a great introduction to those who are new to the story and also interweaves the elements that make a show intrinsically Pantaloony.”
It takes place in the garden at the Old Rectory Restaurant and features live music and audience interaction, with guests invited to bring along a picnic. Tickets are £16 and £10 for children.
