A fast-moving and exciting adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ famous adventure story The Count of Monte Cristo comes to the ADC Theatre on 4 April.

Adapted by Sebastian Baczkiewicz and dramatised by Nick Warburton for Bawds theatre group, the production effectively captures the novel’s themes of hope, justice, vengeance, mercy and forgiveness.

Edmond Dantes appears to have the perfect life, but is arrested on his wedding day in a classic tale of huge scale.

Shows are at 7.45pm from 4 to 8 April. Tickets are £9 or £12, with reductions on the first night.
