A Cambridge jewellery brand whose products are stocked in more than 150 locations, including London’s Tate Modern, has opened its first flagship store in the heart of the city.
Vurchoo, founded by entrepreneur Alex Angel-Benscher, recently opened on King’s Parade, directly opposite King’s College Chapel, marking a major milestone for a business that began over a decade ago with support from The King’s Trust.
Shortly after opening the new store, Alex was invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The King’s Trust alongside other entrepreneurs and supporters of the charity. The recognition led to appearances on both ITV News Anglia and Good Morning Britain, where he spoke about his journey from start-up founder to opening a flagship store in one of Cambridge’s most prominent locations.
Vurchoo has gained recognition for its distinctive approach to jewellery design, with every piece inspired by children’s drawings and stories from around the world. The company also shares profits with education projects, helping support access to education for children globally.
The new store showcases Vurchoo’s jewellery collections alongside a curated range of gifts and British-designed products for both visitors and local residents.
