Rutland Cycling is pleased to confirm that as an essential retailer, and to support those who cycle for essential travel, leisure and exercise, its 14 stores across central England, workshops and online retail will remain open, 7 days a week, during the November lockdown – this includes the five stores in Cambridge at Cambridge Station, Grand Arcade, Barnwell Road, Histon and Giant Store on Hills Road. In line with public health guidelines, procedures are in place in stores for the safety of both customers and staff.
Enjoying the great outdoors by bike can have a hugely positive impact on physical and mental health, and Rutland Cycling is pleased to confirm that cycle hire will also remain available throughout the November lockdown, following strict Covid precautions, to serve local communities from its hire stores at Cambridge Station and Grand Arcade and at its other hire locations at Grafham Water, Rutland Water, Pitsford Water, Leicester and Peterborough.
Caring and providing essentials for families has been a challenge for many people this year, and Rutland Cycling is delighted to announce that 50% of all hire revenue during November will be donated to FareShare, the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors which provides food for vulnerable children and families, and supported by Marcus Rashford. Karen Archer, CEO, says: “I would like to thank our store teams for helping to keep everyone cycling at this time. We are committed as a Company to supporting our staff, customers and the work of Fareshare over the coming days and weeks, as we all rise to the challenges ahead of us. In the meantime, please look after yourselves and your families.”
