Heralding the start of summer, the Cambridge Beer Festival will pitch up in its usual spot on Jesus Green from 22 to 27 May. Founded back in 1974, the event is organised by CAMRA and is one of the largest regional beer festivals held in the country. Pop by to sample hundreds of top beers and ales of all styles, as well as ciders, meads, perry and wine. Then grab some sustenance from the famed CAMRA Cheese Counter, which stocks plenty of pork pies, hams and locally made bread, as well as plenty of fantastic fromage.
