Rogue City Hotels has announced it will soon be opening The Hobson, a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Cambridge’s historic centre. Sticks ‘n’ Sushi
Sticks ’n’ Sushi has rolled out new menus across its UK restaurants, introducing innovative dishes, punchy flavours and seasonal specials alongside much-loved classics. New additions include seared hiramasa with yuzu miso, spring onion yuzu-kosho and ponzu, plus a whole host of vegan dishes, such as plant-based nigiri made with mouth-watering seared aubergine, fermented green chilli and yuzu. All sauces and butters are now vegan-friendly, ensuring all diets are catered for while maintaining that same lip-smacking umami hit.
The Engineer’s House
Calverley’s Brewery has shared the news that it will be taking over the riverside bar next to the Museum of Technology. The new site will be known as the Engineer’s House and will offer inside and outside space, a fine selection of locally brewed beer, and pizzas served up by Alforno. The Orator
Home to spirited dining, drinking and debating, The Orator at the Cambridge Union has introduced a fresh menu that makes its dishes more accessible than ever before, with a host of sharing options, light bites, vegan and gluten-free dishes. Also on the menu are a collection of Michaelmas cocktails – don’t miss the rosemary gin fizz, pumpkin spice passion, or orchard manhattan made with bourbon, calvados, sweet vermouth, apple and cinnamon.
Restaurant 22
Restaurant 22 is earning a name for itself as one of Cambridge’s most exciting destinations for modern British dining. Since Alex Olivier and chef Sam Carter took the reins in 2018, the 40-year-old restaurant has gone from strength to strength, recently scooping up three AA Rosettes at the AA Hospitality Awards 2022 in London.
“Alex, the team and myself are absolutely over the moon to have achieved three AA Rosettes alongside such fantastic restaurants,” says Sam. “The team work so hard every day to deliver their best and this shows that it pays off! We’re very excited for what the future holds.”
