A round-up of Eat Cambridge fringe events you can still get tickets to
Eat Cambridge, which launched on 19 May with a huge food and drink fair at the Guildhall, continues until 2 June with a busy line-up of fringe events. Some have passed and some are fully booked, but if you’ve left it until the last minute and still want to join the fun, here’s a rundown of what’s on offer.
Friday 25 May: Cocktails & Tapas at Cambridge Wine Merchants. CWM and Que Rico Tapas join forces for a delicious food and drink pairing which kicks off at 7pm and costs £42.60 (includes four cocktails and four tapas dishes).
Sunday 27 May: Introduction to Bread Making at Cambridge Cookery. A hands-on workshop which provides an excellent foundation and the skills for making bread at home. All attendees will leave with bags of fresh bread. 11am, £75.
Wednesday 30 May: Fabulous Fanny. Enjoy a night of retro fun at this Fanny Cradock themed cocktail party with Dr Sue Bailey. 6.30pm, £16.31.
Thursday 31 May: Cocafune Twilight Foraging. Drift along the Cam by punt with horticulturalist Anna Taylor, who’ll guide you through local, seasonal foraged fare. On the return journey, you’ll be treated to a twilight tapas feast created with ingredients that have been foraged and sourced locally. Leave with recipes to create your own meal and knowledge to source ingredients. Starts at 5.30pm and tickets are £81.44.
Friday 1 June: An Introduction to Natural Wine. Newnham Bakery Cafe hosts this event dedicated to organic and biodynamic natural wines that will range from ‘classic’ to ‘chatacterful’. Expect plenty of tasters and discounts on anything that tickles your fancy. 7pm, £21.55.
