Smashing Plates, the Greek and Cypriot street food outfit from restaurateur Neofytos Christodoulou, has launched a takeaway service in Cambridge. Transporting customers to the bustling streets of the Hellenic capital, the brand specialises in gyros, offering meat and plant-based options, packed with bold Mediterranean flavours.
“Greek hospitality is all about being welcoming and generous, and Smashing Plates is how I’ve always wanted to enjoy Greek street food – but made uncompromisingly, with the best-quality and freshest ingredients we can lay our hands on,” explains Neo. “Cambridge is particularly close to my heart, as I lived here for three years when I arrived in the UK as a student 17 years ago! Our Cambridge team is just incredible, I can’t wait to show everyone how gyros should really taste, and open our first bricks-and-mortar site outside of London here!”
