Cambridge-based independent wine merchant Grape Britannia is celebrating its second birthday – just in time for English Wine Week
Grape Britannia, the independent wine merchant that specialises in English and Welsh wines, is celebrating its second birthday on 21 June. The business, whose shop is at 1a Arbury Road, Cambridge, has had an amazing first two years, and even managed to win the most prestigious award for the wine trade – the Decanter Retailer Awards – for the area of English and Welsh wines at the end of 2020.
Grape Britannia will be offering free samples of English wines throughout the week, with a huge range of white, rosé, red and sparkling wines to choose from
Their birthday happily coincides with English Wine Week, a celebration of the nation’s viticultural and winemaking highlights, that runs from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 June. Matt Hodgson, managing director of Grape Britannia, explains: “the English wine scene just continues to go from strength to strength – there are over 700 vineyards now. We’ll be offering free samples of some English wines at our shop throughout the week, giving people a chance to taste how exceptional they are. With over 200 English and Welsh wines in stock, we’ve got a huge range for people to choose from, whether it be white, rosé, red or sparkling”.
If you can’t make it to Grape Britannia’s shop, they offer free delivery within the city of Cambridge, and deliver further afield via couriers. Head to the website to find out more. grapebritannia.co.uk
