Saffron Grange has launched a trio of brand-new wines just in time for summer
Boutique Saffron Walden-based vineyard Saffron Grange has just launched three brand-new wines for 2021, perfect to enjoy with your summer picnics this year. The 2018 Seyval Blanc Reserve, 2018 Classic Cuvée and 2019 Sparkling Rosé are the latest additions to Saffron Grange’s award-winning list of sparkling showstoppers, keeping up the vineyard’s impeccably high standard of fresh, fruity wines.
Perfect to enjoy with summer picnics
The 2018 Seyval Blanc Reserve has been aged for 24 months on the yeast lees, and delivers a nose packed with elderflower, citrus and soft caramel, with notes of lemon tart on the palate and a lingering, creamy finish. Saffron Grange’s signature Classic Cuvée vintage wine – a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, displaying notes of freshly picked white flowers, orange peel and brioche on the nose, with hints of baked apple and raspberries leading to a long-lasting, complex and refined finish. The 2019 Sparkling Rosé is a youthful wine bursting with fragrant lychee and rose petals on the nose, and has a palate rich with redcurrants and summer fruits balanced with a crisp, refreshing acidity.
All of Saffron Grange’s wines are 100% vegan, and the vineyard is committed to using minimal intervention methods to allow local wildlife to thrive. The new releases will be available to purchase from 25 May, and can be pre-ordered from 23 May. Visit the website for more information, saffrongrange.com.
