Black & White at De Luca
Escape the throngs at Italian eatery De Luca, which is hosting an elegant Black & White evening. After being welcomed with prosecco, guests will be treated to a sumptuous five-course feast before heading up to the piano bar to carry the night on. There will be a live pianist playing well-loved tunes and cocktails aplenty from the bar. You can join the fun and sing your way into 2018 for £65 per person; you’re advised to book sharpish to guarantee a spot.
All that is Golden at Novi
Super-stylish Novi will be ringing in the new year with an ‘all that is golden’ theme, encouraging guests to don their glitziest attire and enjoying some rather special golden tipples. There will be a roaming band across the venue’s three floors, plus additional entertainment and prosecco on arrival. The event runs 9pm to 3am and tickets are £20 earlybird, £25 in advance and £30 on the door (limited).
Classics Ball at Bedford Lodge
If you want to add a bit of glamour to your New Year’s Eve celebrations, the Classics Ball at the gorgeous Bedford Lodge Hotel might be just the ticket. Beginning with a glass of bubbly, guests will then be seated for a four-course dinner at the hotel’s celebrated in-house restaurant, before dancing the night away and seeing in midnight with a traditional piper, and haggis, neeps and tatties. Tickets are £110 per person.
Feast & Frolic
The Willow Tree in Bourn is hosting a Boogie in Wonderland dine and dance event this NYE, promising an indulgent five-course tasting menu with a Wonderland theme, including a sparkling cocktail on arrival, a ‘drink me’ shot at midnight and a disco (£90 per person), while sister restaurant The Eltisley is running with a Vegas theme, promising drinks, dinner, funk music, dancing and even a casino!
d’Arry’s
City centre restaurant d’Arry’s will be hosting a slap-up NYE feast with entertainment from a live band. After a glass of fizz to get things started, guests will be treated to a menu filled with indulgent treats like creamy lobster bisque, venison tenderloin and chocolate foret noire. It’s priced at £69.95 per person and you can book from 7pm for the whole evening, with live music from 9.30pm and the drinks flowing and dancing until the early hours.
Dance at Pint Shop
Get your dancing shoes at the ready, if you choose, while indulging on a fab five-course feasting menu. Tickets are £65, which includes entry to the bar all night, with large, sharing table sittings at 8pm, 8.30pm and 9pm. There will be a live DJ from 9pm till 1am in the bar, and if you want bar tickets only, these are £10, which includes first drink. Free whiskey at midnight.
Brunch ball at Lola Lo
Everyone likes a bit of brunch, so why not feast on it at Lola Lo’s Midnight Brunch Ball. Spectacular performers, cocktails and canapés, with complimentary mimosas if you arrive before 10.30pm. The emphasis is on allure, decadence and music to die for, with the best floor-fillers to create a dance party. Tickets are £15.
Browns
There’s a huge selection of scrumptious delights to choose from on Browns’ special menu. For starters lobster and Champagne thermidor tart, caramelised shallot tatin or mushroom and truffle oil soup are just some of your options, with sea bass, slow roast belly of pork, ribeye steak and venison among the main choices. Cherry, apple and almond pie, or passionfruit slice could see you into the New Year.
