In a stunning victory, a local pizza chef has been awarded the prestigious title of Pizza Chef of the Year 2024 at the renowned Pizza and Pasta Awards (PAPA). Competing against some of the country’s finest pizza chefs, the chef’s innovative and flavor-forward creations impressed a discerning panel of judges to secure the top honour.
The competition featured fierce rivals from across the UK, with chefs putting forth their most creative and delicious recipes in hopes of capturing the coveted title. The winning chef entered three unique pizzas, each competing in distinct categories: a Mortadella & Pistachio Pesto Detroit-style pizza for the Flour category, a Merguez Sausage & Feta Whippizza in the YAMAS category, and a Smoked and Pulled Pork pizza in the Sauce category.
The Merguez Sausage & Feta Whip pizza and Smoked and Pulled Pork pizza both took first place in their respective categories.
