Two new pop ups in store at Thirsty Cambridge on Chesterton Road
Missing all the scoffing and quaffing of the festive season? Get back in the groove this weekend at Thirsty Cambridge, where they’ve got a duo of perfect pop-ups in store. Thirsty, which you’ll find on Chesterton Road, offers a great selection of carefully chosen wines, craft beer, cider and spirits, and since opening last year they’ve been tempting in locals with a series of dining events in partnership with some local foodie favourites.
On Friday 8 January, swing by for some South East Asian street food courtesy of Jalan Jalan, or, on Saturday 9th, sample the menu from Provenance Kitchen whilst enjoying a few tipples. Provenance Kitchen, the brainchild of the team behind celebrated Madingley eaterie the Three Horseshoes, serves up nutritious, organic, local and completely delicious food from their retro Airstream van. On the menu this week, you’ll find their beef brisket burger (a meat-lovers dream, slathered in classic sauce, tomato compote and pickles, served in a brioche bun with rosemary and parsley potatoes), as well as the wood-fired miso butternut squash, which comes with freekah pilaf, spinach, yoghurt, pomegranate and walnut salsa. Yum. There’s seating at Thirsty too, making for a relaxed vibe whilst you sample your way through their extensive drinks selection and enjoy your grub – go on, ease those post Christmas blues…
