The Snug, with branches on Lensfield Road and by the Grafton Centre, has long been a Cambridge favourite for its great value grub and huge selection of cocktails. Pop down this month and you can enjoy a festive feast as they’ve just launched their Christmas menu, packed with tempting seasonal specials.
Perfect for a Christmas party, the Snug festive sharing platters are priced at £12.50 per person and feature dishes like Bloody Mary nachos, mini sausages glazed with honey and mustard and potato skins with pulled pork and cheddar. There’s also a veggie option, offering mozzarella sticks, falafel bites and potato skins with onion chutney and cheddar. Our favourite on the new menu, though, has to be the epic Christmas Burger: a towering stack of turkey, cheese, streaky bacon and rum glaze. Santa’s Dog: a pulled pork hotdog with mustard, chipotle and cranberry sauce, is also a winner. There’s a new Christmassy cocktail selection to wash it all down with too, and if you’re after something a little more interactive for your group, you can book a cocktail making masterclass with one of the Snug’s experienced bartenders.
