Afternoon Tease is back with another boozy, treat-filled pop-up
Though the doors to her well-loved King Street café closed almost a year ago, owner Jo Kruczynska has continued to delight our taste-buds with a steady stream of imaginative pop-ups around the city. The latest, taking place on 20 October, revives the Prohibition-inspired Sweeteasy concept: a splendidly indulgent evening of cocktails and cakes, taking place at the Cambridge Distillery’s Grantchester home.
It’s priced at £30 per person, for which guests will be treated to three cakes made by Jo, inspired by tasting notes on the gins and paired with cocktails which complement the sweat treats. Last time around, the menu included a Japanese twist on a Tom Collins served with a sesame and orange brownie, plus a ginny Aperol Spritz paired with an almond and lemon thyme friand.
