Today, Friday 16 December, is a day of contrasting emotions for lovers of foodPark, Cambridge’s travelling collection of street food vans that get office workers salivating across the city. It’s the last foodPark of the year at Mill Park CB1, quite literally a stone’s throw from Cambridge Railway Station. Boooo! However, it’s also Christmas Jumper Day… yay!
So if you happen to have yours on right now, or have time to pop home and don it before wandering over to The Wandering Yak, or perhaps Steak & Honour, Geurilla Kitchen and Buffalo Joe’s, not only can you expect the usual delicious eats and some exciting festive specials, foodPark is supporting Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. Sport your Rudolph, Snowman, tree or Santa woolly masterpiece and donate £2 to the cause. If you can’t make it down, you can donate by texting TEAMFOODPARK to 70050.
All the money that’s raised goes towards helping children in countries including Syria, Liberia, Haiti and Bangladesh.
Hatches open at 12 noon and foodPark returns on 1 February at the West Cambridge site. Put it in your diary, in pen.
