Synth-punk-industrial pioneer Gary Numan plays the Corn Exchange on 7 October in a tour that marks 40 years on the scene.

First hits Are Friends Electric? and Cars broke the mould, taking his unique sound to the top of the charts. He was a big influence on Nine Inch Nails, and in turn said they influenced his own later work. Tickets from £35.50.
