Bedford Lodge
Choice cuts are on the menu, and there’s two options to choose from for what type of night you’re after on the last night of the year. First at Bedford Lodge, there’s an NYE gala dinner, which is a black-tie, luxury five-course dinner in the Squires restaurant. That’s followed by a traditional way to bring in 2020: a piper plus haggis, neeps and tatties straight after midnight (you’ll have a bit of room for more by then, surely?).
Alternatively, a classics ball offers an exclusive black-tie dinner dance that starts at 7pm, with a glass of bubbly followed by a four-course dinner, then it’s disco tunes all the way – with the Scottish midnight mini-feast too.
The Waterman
Bust some moves at this pub’s silent disco that has multiple start times, including a kids’ early-bird option from 5pm to 8pm, with £10 entry including non-alcoholic punch and a party bag. If you want dinner before dancing, a 7pm-start three-course dinner with wine matching, cocktails, canapes and midnight champagne is £55, or simply cocktails and canapes from 9pm is £25. After 10pm entry is £15. All prices include headset hire. There’s a sparkle theme, so think glitter, sequins and all things shiny!
De Luca
A five-course feast awaits diners at De Luca on New Year’s Eve, with ticket holders gaining exclusive access to the venue’s award-winning New York loft-style piano bar, with requests and singalongs taking guests beyond midnight. It’s the fifth year of the piano bar, and the event always sells out in advance, so don’t delay getting your ticket, priced at £65.
