For those of us who love a good dance, but have to get up in the morning (oh, for those student lie-ins!), and for those who love the idea of festivals but possibly not the muddy, sweaty, crowded reality, there is an answer! It comes in the form of the Early Night Club’s Shake It event at The Shack: a club night, for grown-ups, in the great and glorious outdoors.
Shake It takes place at The Gog Magogs Farm Shop (you may have been to one of their regular Shake Shack events). It starts at 7.30pm, 18 July and promises music, dancing in fields, posh loos and great food and drink from Scrimshaw’s Guerilla Kitchen and The Fizz Bar, ending at a respectable stroke of midnight.
Your Fairy Godmother would heartily approve.
The Early Night Club was created five years ago after designer Nick Welsh, marketing consultant Alex Ruczaj and entrepreneur Vicky Fenton decided they’d had enough of feeling old whenever they went dancing, and set out to create something for people like them. It’s proved a roaring success ever since.
Tickets are £18.50.
