Fletcher Prentice’s delicately painted spring meadows are full of life, while Louise Dear’s vibrant and intense figurative paintings on aluminium literally shine. Charlotte Cornish paints vivid, abstract paintings that are rich in colour while Waller Hewett’s fun, bright ‘polywobbles’ – little springy furballs that move – must be touched by the viewer to be fully appreciated!
Byard also displays a fabulous collection of paper entomology artworks, hand-embroidered creepy-crawlies, miniature paintings of bees, domestic ceramics decorated with frogs and spawn and ceramic hares. We’ll be keeping an eye on their packed programme for 2015, so stay tuned.
