The Botanic Gardens have remained open later than usual on Wednesdays in July for the Sounds Green series – relaxed, sociable picnic proms in the garden.
An eclectic and exciting lineup of music has further flavour added with food and drink provided by The Garden Café, serving seasonal food and drinks which will capture the spirit of the music. Visitors are also welcome to picnic.
The music starts at 6.15pm, for an hour, and Classico Latino provide the tunes on 20 July, with “trad-sound” folk from Glasgow-based five-piece Imar (pictured above) on 27 July.
Normal garden admission only, there is no extra charge to attend Sounds Green, however, donations are invited. Take a small folding chair or cushion if you want, and check the forecast to see if a brolly is required!
