Popular singer-songwriter continues his Christmas show tradition
Local singer-songwriter Boo Hewerdine is once again hosting his annual Christmas bash this month, featuring performances from a host of musicians and entertainers. Taking place on 13 December at The Maltings in Ely, the event is now entering its seventh year, and this time features special guests Eddi Reader and Andrew Marr amongst others.
Regarded as one of Britain’s most accomplished songwriters, Boo Hewerdine has written hits for Natalie Imbruglia, Paul Young and kd lang, but possibly his most long-standing and fruitful partnership has been his ongoing collaboration with Scottish singer Eddi Reader, for whom he penned the Ivor Novello-nominated Patience of Angels. He’s also got seven solo albums under his belt, including the most recent: My Name in the Brackets – a compilation of his and his former band, The Bible’s, greatest hits.
His annual festive party is a real treat for music lovers, offering a stellar line-up of talent and a whole lot of Christmas cheer. Tickets are priced at £22.
