After launching their hugely successful online classes at the start of lockdown, friends and fitness professionals Sara Ford and Alice Loombe are opening their very own FRESH wellbeing and fitness studio in Ely, thanks to community asset funding from Sport England. FRESH promises to be a space that is both accessible and welcoming, with an emphasis on inclusion that will provide a nurturing environment for all – especially the most vulnerable members of the community. “We want to create a kind and open culture at FRESH, where we can support everybody with their physical and mental wellbeing and be a hub for other local businesses,” says Alice. “The vision is so much bigger than Sara and me. We’re creating something that is going to impact so many people.”
There will be an impressive range of classes to choose from at FRESH, so you’re bound to find something that’s up your street. Those looking to work up a sweat can sign up for the studio’s HIIT, pilates or dance classes, or if you’re looking to slow down, you can try out the mental strength workshops or meditation sessions. Alongside the myriad of membership packages on offer, Sara and Alice will also be providing one free class a day for community groups, underrepresented groups, charities or the elderly. FRESH is due to open this month in Ely – head to the website to see how you can get involved. freshandwell.co.uk
