Three short works of ballet come to the Arts Theatre

Ballet Black returns to Cambridge with dramatic, inventive storytelling in a trio of modern works that put excitement at the fore on 7 and 8 May at the Arts Theatre.

Ingoma (Song), created by dancer and choreographer Mthuthuzeli November, is a fusion of African dance, singing and ballet. It imagines the struggles of black miners and their families in 1946 in South Africa, when 60,000 of them went on strike.

Pendulum is an intimate duet by Martin Lawrance, and a light-hearted work by Sophie Laplane completes the programme. Tickets from £20.
