On 10 September, the world-renowned English Chamber Orchestra directed by internationally acclaimed violinist Harriet Mackenzie will perform an evening of classical music by candlelight in the historic setting of Trinity College Chapel.
Presented by the charity Music in Action, the concert series will showcase some of classical music’s most-loved works, including Vivaldi’s Winter (from The Four Seasons), The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams, and the ravishingly beautiful Mad Lover’s Aire by Eccles.
Two concerts will take place on the day (6-7pm and 8-9pm); the programme for the first also features Amy Beach’s Romance, and the second features Cecilia McDowall’s Love Through the Seasons.
Proceeds from the evening will support Music in Action’s ongoing outreach initiatives in Cambridgeshire primary schools, expanding access to music education for children.
