Vintage warbirds will once again grace the skies at IWM Duxford’s annual Battle of Britain Air Show – which this year will commemorate 85 years since the pivotal WWII aerial battle and pay tribute to Group Captain John Allman ‘Paddy’ Hemingway, DFC, AE, the last surviving Battle of Britain pilot, who died earlier this year.

Held on 6 and 7 September, this year’s event will include the signature Duxford Flying Finale, featuring more than 20 Spitfires and Hurricanes. Other iconic aircraft set to make an appearance include the Junkers Ju 52, which was last displayed at a UK air show a decade ago.

Visitors can also immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of a 1940s summer, as living history groups, music and dancing fill the showground, plus a traditional steam fair, Airfix model making and more.
