This November, The Grafton shopping centre will be welcoming back its popular Mumpreneur Market, giving mums with small businesses the opportunity to showcase and sell their products to the public. Running 28-30 November, the market will operate from 11am-5pm every day, located in the Great Court, just outside BHS.
This will be the second event of its kind, after the first, held in July, proved a huge success and an positive boost for small, local businesses. This time, The Grafton will go further and offer a prize to the most entrepreneurial mum of a four weeks’ free trading space in the Centre (value over £2,000). In a bid to win this top business opportunity, the women have already created social media video diaries to engage with their followers and give an insight into the daily routine of a mum juggling a business with family and children.
Centre manager Lance Stanbury said: “By getting this far, the mumpreneurs have already proved they have a good business idea and passion for what they do and we want to help them take their businesses to the next level. By taking part in our contest we are encouraging them to engage with our customers on all levels so that they get to know the mums behind the businesses and enjoy meeting them all at the market. And the winner will be given significant support to allow them to achieve their business dreams.”
With a wide variety of creative goods such as handmade silver jewellery, home accessories, cake specialists and more, there will be plenty to see. A full list of those taking part, and company profiles will be available on The Grafton’s Facebook page.
