Burwash Larder’s Christmas Market
When? 3 December
Where? Burwash Manor
What? From 10am to 4pm, take a trip down to the farm for Burwash Manor’s annual Christmas market. Burwash Larder’s favourite suppliers will be gathered in the courtyard to sell their wares, rubbing shoulders with Father Christmas himself. Grantchester Art and Craft Christmas Show
When? 11 to 12 November
Where? Grantchester Village Hall
What? Returning for its 13th year, local professional artists will be hosting the Grantchester Arts and Crafts Christmas Show. Running from 10am to 5pm both days, there’s free entry with plenty of refreshments available. The artists – many of whom are Cambridge Open Studios members – will be selling a range of artworks, from jewellery to ceramics, paintings, textiles, glass, prints and cards.
Huntingdon Christmas Market
When? 24 to 26 November
Where? Market Square, Huntingdon
What? Aside from a bustling selection of stalls, this local market is jam-packed with entertainment, making for a perfect family evening out. Between gift shopping and mulled wine sipping, enjoy performances from singers, choirs and dance schools. And rumour has it that Father Christmas himself will be on hand to dish out gifts!
Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair
When? 25 and 26 November
Where? The Pitt Building, Cambridge
What? Following the success of last year’s event, the Pitt Building will once again open its doors for the Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair. Open each day from 10am to 4.30pm, the festive event will feature over 20 stalls showcasing work from fine independent suppliers and talented craftspeople. Entry
is free – and Yuletide cheer is guaranteed.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral Christmas Market
When? 23 to 25 November
Where? St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds
What? Step into the atmospheric setting of the breathtaking, historic cathedral to discover a host of over 50 stallholders hailing from across Suffolk and beyond. Free to attend and open from 10am until 4.30pm daily, browsers can also enjoy authentic entertainment including performances of Christmas carols and live music.
Christmas Gift & Food Fair
When? 16 to 18 November
Where? Ely Cathedral
What? Kick off the Christmas season with a trip to the majestic setting of Ely Cathedral, as its nave and aisles are taken over by more than 100 boutique stalls and local designers. With an array of food and drink vendors on site to provide ample refreshment, visit the marquee in the cathedral’s grounds for a further 120 stalls of festive treasures. Tickets are from £5 per adult and £2 for under 16s.
Presents Galore
When? 24 to 26 November
Where? Rowley Mile Racecourse, Newmarket
What? East Anglia’s biggest Christmas fair returns! Expect a three-day extravaganza boasting over 100 boutique stalls and an atmosphere that’s bound to get you in the spirit. All proceeds raised will be divided between the Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Newmarket Charitable Foundation and the National Horseracing Museum. Tickets are £8 per adult (online) and £10 on the door. Under 16s go free.
