Cats Protection Cambridge is dedicated to finding the perfect match between cats and their forever families
As the UK’s leading cat welfare charity, Cats Protection helps home cats, while promoting responsible pet ownership. Every adoption considers a cat’s personality, needs and a household’s environment, creating happy and lasting relationships between cats and owners.
The Cambridge branch of Cats Protection is run entirely by a small team of passionate volunteers who are committed to improving the lives of local cats and kittens. Volunteer fosterers provide temporary care in their homes or purpose-built garden pens until the cats are ready for adoption.
In 2024 alone, they found loving homes for 109 cats and kittens. Cats need a safe environment with outdoor access via a cat flap, away from busy roads and railways, so they can explore, stay stimulated and, most importantly, stay safe. If you’re interested in adopting, call 01223 528312 or browse the cats currently in foster care at cats.org.uk/cambridge#AdoptACat.
The branch is also looking for new foster volunteers in the Cambridge area. If you’d like to help care for a feline in need, you can find more information at cats.org.uk/cambridge#Volunteering.
