Food vans, craft beer and live music make for an unusual church service
Drinks shop Thirsty continues its quest for world domination with the launch of yet another irresistible event. Featuring the usual winning combo of street food, entertainment and great booze, the Thirsty Service series will see the Thirsty gang popping up in a rather unlikely new location: St Philip’s Church on Mill Road (5-11pm).
You can get well and truly in the holy spirit with a range of cracking gins, plus craft beers and wines on tap (amen to that!), and there will be tasty eats on offer from favourite food trucks. Tuck into gourmet burgers from Steak & Honour, plus pulled meat deliciousness from Pull me Cheri while you enjoy the music from jazz band Stormy Mondays.
If the weather’s not up to much, don’t worry, there will be ample indoor biergarten-style seating, heating and cosy fairy lights and candles.
Thirsty Service will be running every Saturday in October from the 7th at St Philip’s Church, before moving to St Paul’s Church on Hills Road for 3, 10 and 17 November, plus 1 December.
