Indie singer-songwriter announces gigs at the Forestry Commission’s summer festival

Indie phenomenon James Bay has announced that he’ll be performing at Forest Live. He’ll be playing Thetford Forest on 1 July and Cannock Chase Forest on 8 July. Tickets are £34.50 plus a £3.95 booking fee, and go on sale at 9am this Friday, 29 January.

Bay is a singer-songwriter best known for his platinum-selling single Hold Back the River, which you might remember from the tail end of 2014. He’s also received widespread critical acclaim for his debut album, Chaos and the Calm. With three Grammy Award nominations and four Brit Award Nominations, his act promises to provide the lyrical, guitar-strumming goodness that he’s known for.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission to bring forests to new audiences, raising money for a wide range of projects including wildlife conservation and improvements for visitors. With full catering and bar facilities on site, the gigs are known for their relaxed atmosphere.
