Aged 13, comedian Katy Brand went to a local church service and became a fundamentalist Christian. In her own words, she “put the ‘fun’ into fundamentalism… and the ‘mental’,” becoming an “obnoxious, self-important dick”.

Her new show, I Was a Teenage Christian, offers a frank and funny look at her conversion to evangelical Christianity, attempting to figure out what was going on in her head at the time. Hear her confessional at Cambridge Junction on 4 June. Tickets are £13.50.
