The 8 Day Weekend, organised by the Saffron Walden Round Table, sees iconic names in music and comedy descend on the common. On Wednesday 9th, the extraordinary ventriloquist comedian Nina Conti leads a corporate event for local businesses at the marquee; grove away to Uncle Funk’s Boogie Night on Thursday (7.30pm); then spot some local talent at Saffron Walden’s Got Talent on Friday night, with DJs to follow.
The festival draws to a close on Saturday with a great night of music, featuring Heather Small (Miranda-style cut-outs at the ready!), Nik Kershaw and the One and Only Chesney Hawkes. It runs from 7.30pm until midnight, tickets £25.
Meanwhile there’ll be lots of activities to get stuck into during the day, from face-painting to zorbing and a dog and duck show. More details online.
