The team at Boxed Events give the lowdown on catering alongside coronavirus

The impact of coronavirus on the industry has been unfathomable, however we are surrounded by problem solvers and creative people. The local wedding network has been so supportive and encouraging, and even when adhering to guidelines we can still deliver an intimate and inviting dining experience.

Even when adhering to guidelines we can still deliver an intimate and inviting dining experience.

Cutting the guest list does not mean any less of a celebration. We have seen some deeply personal and unforgettable weddings, and these smaller weddings have given us the opportunity to be creative with our menus and setup. More traditional plated meals are also being favoured, but with a well-thought-out seating plan we can still accommodate a more social dining experience. Couples are also increasingly keen to support local suppliers – with locally sourced seasonal produce on the menu and local beers, wines and spirits being served.

One thing is for sure, next year has more weddings schedules than ever! Don’t hold off on the planning and get in touch to discuss your plans. If you do not have a venue in mind, we can help find the perfect space as we work with some fantastic venues, all of which are constantly working on making their spaces safe and up to date with government guidance.

We need reasons to celebrate more than ever, and although the guidelines seem rigid, Boxed Events can still find many ways to make weddings unique, welcoming and memorable.
