A microbrewery tucked away on peaceful Hooper Street (off Mill Road), might just be our favourite new spot for a pint. A family run enterprise, Calverley’s Brewery serve up fantastic craft beers, all made on site, with seating areas inside and out for you to relax in. Happily, they’re now open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays and, even better, they’ve recently started introducing food into the mix too.
On the weekends, you’ll now be able to enjoy street food from favourite local trucks with your beer in the evenings, as well as at lunchtime on Fridays. On Friday 19 August, pop down for Austrian treats from Holy Schnitzels, who’ll be serving from 6pm-9pm, and on Saturday, it’s the turn of GoGo Gogi Gui: purveyors of the most lip smackingly good Korean inspired burgers. They’ll be doing their thing from 12pm-3pm on Saturday and then again from 6pm-9pm.
Calverley’s is also available for private bookings during the week if you’ve got a larger goup.
