It’s a great triple bill for the next Acoustic Routes concert at CB2 in Norfolk St on Saturday November 28. Audiences around the world have been captivated by American Lily Neill’s infectious passion for the Irish harp, and the dynamism and breadth of her live performances. Her debut solo album was praised by Irish Music Magazine upon its release as “part of the new Harp revolution extolling aspects of harp music never previously heard”. She has won awards at the All-Ireland harp competition and the U.S. National Scottish Harp Championship and her music has been used in television and film soundtracks.
Kelly Oliver is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player who is influenced mainly by acoustic music and traditional Irish folk music. Her debut album This Land attracted a 4* review from The Telegraph and inclusion in their top Folk Albums of 2014. The Times wrote that she was successfully “blending traditional values with bold indie pop sensibility”.
Crooked Tree is a new trio that perform songs by some of the great singer/songwriters of the 1970s. The line up is Bronwyn Ormsby on vocals, Rhys Wilson (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Bernard Hoskin (vocals, guitar, mandolin and bass).
