A Chinese dance drama graces the stage at Cambridge Corn Exchange on 27 March.
The Embroidery Girl uses ballet and folk-dance to tell a story adapted from the real experiences of two sewing masters during the later Qing dynasty (1870-1930).
Jiangsu Wuxi Song and Dance Theatre illustrate the threading and sewing via choreography with rich content, interweaved Chinese customs.
It features Zhang Yashu, a dance superstar in China, and ballet dancer Xu Peng.
Tickets from £32, for a 7.30pm start.
