King’s wives sing their version of events, 500 years on
If the words divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived mean something to you, you either know your history, your Horrible Histories, or both. It’s what happened to Henry VIII’s wives and Six, a pop-concert musical, comes to Cambridge from 17 to 21 July at the Arts Theatre.
Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’s show has already played to packed out audiences in the West End, as this 75-minute celebration of sass transforms the Tudor queens to pop princesses, allowing them to take to the mic to tell their story through powerful songs, in a remix of heartbreak.
Billed as the ultimate Queen revival, with lipstick that’s a rebellious red, Six promises to be a hot ticket.
