The city streets will burst into life with quirky performances this month, as the Out of the Ordinary Festival returns to Cambridge.
Taking place across the August bank holiday weekend on 29 and 30 August, this year’s free festival will feature the best of outdoor arts, including circus skills, physical comedy, immersive walkabout acts, dance and much more.
Highlights include Parade – The Giant Wheel by Autin Dance Theatre, featuring a 12ft-tall giant wheel powered by five street artists and accompanied by music and a large community cast of local groups and individual performers. There is also the Granny Turismo shopping trolley display dance team, physical theatre by performer Luigi Ciotta and the magical Sea Sphere and Enchanted Flower by The Show Globe.
